Padraig Henry Pearse was an Irish teacher, barrister, poet, writer, nationalist and political activist who was one of the leaders of the Easter Rising in 1916.

Padraig was born on November 10, 1879 in Dublin.

Died: May 3, 1916 (aged 36), Kilmainham Gaol, Dublin, Republic of Ireland.

Height :  31cm (12.4 inch).

When the Easter Rising eventually began on Easter Monday, 24 April 1916, it was Pearse who read the Proclamation of the Irish Republic from outside the General Post Office, the headquarters of the rising.

This Padraig Pearse Bronze Figure is a Limited Edition of 2016 Commemorating the Centenary of the 1916 Rising and shows Pearse reading the Poblacht Na I Eireann.
